The Traumatizing Trump Visit

Who knew something as simple as 1 email could fracture an entire "community" so easily. Well that is exactly what the college campus of High Point University quickly found out when it was announced that Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump would be coming to speak on the campus.
It would be wrong to say that when the day finally arrived, it began like any other because it simply did not. From the moment the sun was up students were preparing to line up at the gates so they could get a good seat in the rally after having heard horrible rumors that the rally was in fact, oversold. On the other hand while students were lining up to support Mr. Trump there were also quite a few students who elected to line up for another reason. Protest. The thing that everyone feared on this day and the reason why the University set up a designated area so far away was because it was clear how fast "peaceful protests" could turn into full blown vandalism in a mad free for all.
As for what political side I am affiliated with I will not say because I don't want to get into a verbal bloodbath with another student. However two things were certain in my mind and that was I needed to see if the media was right about Mr. Trump and experiencing a rally was something that I desperately needed to check off my bucket list. For me the rally turned out to be a total win in every area that I was interested in so I would say all in all that Mr. Trump's visit was not quite as traumatizing as it was talked up to be.
